Golog Support Foundation

What is the Golog Support Foundation?

The Golog Support Foundation is here to create an opportunity for the Tibetan people, to improve their Quality of life. At the same time they offer people here in Europe, an opportunity to support  them in this goal, from their heart. This is what gives the foundation their purpose.  The supportgroup in the Netherlands is working together with the Golog supportgroup in both Luxembourg and Ireland. Apart from healthcare, the Golog support foundation, also has it’s focus on childcare(childfund) and education. All activities are initiated and carried out by local Tibetans.

The organization consists off a European group, and a group in Golog. In Europe there are Golog Support groups in the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Ireland that raise the necessary funding. The Golog Support Group in Tibet is comprised totally of local nomads who initiate and run projects.

Our way of working combines both Tibetan and Western perspectives. Think globally, act locally is a motto that applies to the Tibetan approach to work. The Tibetan way of working is characterised by Buddhism, and is typified by the following:

  1. Long-term vision includes several generations, rather than several years.
  2. Goals and plans are based on a holistic global vision. Everything is interdependently related, and nothing can be left out of this.
  3. Get to work immediately. Rather than planning in advance and then acting, improvise accordingly as you go.

It is a wonderful challenge to continually incorporate both Tibetan and Western visions. In so doing, they are building a better future for Tibetans, especially for the younger generations.

The Buddhatrip is organized and administrated by the Golog Support Foundation.  In return, each participant of the Buddhatrip gives an donation towards there  projects
